Recruitment Introduction:

Our university has been gradually increasing the recruitment within these two years, and paying more attention to the quality of enrolling students. Meanwhile, we have been carrying out the plan in recruiting students in the west part of China year by year. Concerning the scale of the source of the recruiting students, please have a look at the attachment about detailed plan and actual enrollment in every province. In addition, in order to work out the problem of losing students in Independent University, our university has been spreading propaganda on both the recruiting spot and the Internet in a long time, which has received a better effect. We know we have an important task to do our best to reach the recruitment goal of 7000 to 8000 students, in order to let our university become a well-repute independent university in China. We did, we do, and we will make our great effort to cultivate qualified students on the basis of the rule of increasing the quality of our recruited students.

Recruitment in 2006:

Medical Science (5-years):     We will train the special talents that meet the demand of 21st century modern development on medicine and pharmacology with all-round ability in respect of integrity, intelligence, physical quality，esthetics. Students will obtain the knowledge in basic medical science, clinical science, and skills in medical treatment and preventive medicine, with the ability to work in medical treatment and medical science research in medical hygiene unit and medical scientific research department.

Nursing Science (5-years):     We will train the special talents that meet the demand of 21st century modern development on medicine and pharmacology undertaking, with all-round ability on integrity, intelligence, physical quality，esthetics. Based on the mode of biology-psychology-society, students will master the knowledge on basic medical science, clinical science, nursing science, and have a good knowledge in nursing theory, modern theory, and modern nursing skills, with extensive knowledge and higher English level. They will obtain ability to enjoy art such as music, esthetics, and become the senior talents on clinic nursing, nursing education, nursing scientific research, and nursing management.

Dental Health Science(5-years):     We will train the special talents that meet the demand of 21st century modern development on medicine and pharmacology, with all-round ability on integrity, intelligence, physical quality，and esthetics with higher quality. They will obtain the knowledge on basic medical science theory and clinic science, and master the basic theory of mouth cavity medical science and clinic operation skills, and can do work such as treatment on dentistry common disease, and frequent-occurring disease, recovery, precaution in medical agency.

Radiology (4-years)    : We will Train the special talents that meet the demand of 21th century modern development on medicine and pharmacology with all-round ability in respects of integrity, intelligence, physical quality, and esthetics with highly quality. And they should obtain both knowledge and ability on basic medical science, clinic science, medical science image, and can do work such as medical image diagnosis, nuclear radiology.

Jurisprudence (4-Years):     This major is a new major combining subjects both law and medical science, which is full of potential. The students should be cultivated conforming to modern socialism construction in respects of moral, intelligence, and physical quality. They should be proficient in the knowledge and techniques of medical science and law. Ultimately, they will be qualified for the jobs, such as legislating and enforcing in medical law, identifying medical incidences, and handling citizen lawsuit in justice ministry, law service agency, administration, and medical agency, with practical justice ability.

Optical Science (4-years):     According to the need of the 21st century Chinese modern construction in respect of moral, intelligence, and physical quality, we aims to cultivate the qualified students combining the ability in both medical science and basic science. The students should grasp the basic knowledge and techniques of basic medical science, clinical medicine, ophthalmology, and optical science in order to work in optical health care area after their graduation.?

Public Health Management (4-years):     Public health management is studying the rule of sanitation development and related influencing elements, which is an applied science in protecting people's health and providing best sanitation service through the theories and methods of management science. The able people in this area are highly required as far. We aim to cultivate the qualified students conforming to the need of reform and development in sanitation in China, and socialism marketing economy. The students should master the basic knowledge and techniques in medical science, and the theories, methods, and techniques both in comprehensive modern scientific management and sanitation management. They also should have highly ability in English use and quantity analysis, as well as creative ability and independent analyzing ability in order to solving the problems in sanitation management area in the future.

Pharmaceutics (4-years):     Medical industry is crucial to our national economy, and is one of the fast developing industries. The need of the able people in this area has increased year by year. After joining the WTO, more and more multinational corporations come to China, which means the able people in medical industry area have been required urgently. We aim to cultivate the qualified students who can master the basic theories, knowledge and practical techniques of medical science. They will be qualified for the jobs, such as medicine analysis, medicine design, medicine compounding, common pharmacy, and clinical medicine use, in the areas of medical production, medical inspection, medical circulation, medical use and medical study.

Marketing(Medicine oriented) (4-years):     With the rapid development of marketing economy, people’s living standard level has been increasingly raised. The lack of the able people in medical and health care production, marketing, and especially senior compounding medical science becomes the biggest problem in medical industry. We aim to cultivate the qualified students who can grasp well-knit theories both in medical science and marketing engineering, and systematically master the techniques, and strategies in medicine marketing, which can be ultimately applied to research, forecast, sales, and management in medicine marketing.
