The spring in Tianjin should be a beautiful season, however this spring we are facing a suddenly arisen disaster-SARS. Now Tianjin, China and even some parts of the world are making unremitting efforts to fight against SARS, because it has become the biggest enemy of threatening the health, influencing the normal living of the people. Many of you have to temporally return to your countries, breaking off your loved studies due to the SARS.

　Recently we gladly see that we have obtained a breakthrough after an arduous struggle and through a close international cooperation against SARS. From May 20 on there is already not new case in Tianjin, It has fully proved that Tianjin has taken the efficient measures for the prevention and control of the SARS and achieved sound effects.

　In regard to Tianjin Medical University, we established a special leading group and office for prevention and treatment of SARS in order to guarantee the health and safety of life of the students through the powerful measures of prevention and control.

　According to the SARS situation, we have decided that the final exam will be held on schedule. The graduation exam of this year is fixed on June 25. The foreign students in graduation class must contact with your teacher of International Relations Department, return to the university before June 25 to take part in the graduation exam and draw a satisfactory full stop for your study and living in Tianjin Medical University.

　If the SARS in Tianjin and in China could be under control at the end of June, we will inform the students who have been back in their countries to return to the university continuing your study. Please wait for our notice in the middle of June.
